The location is pretty exciting. It's on the corner of Grattan and Cardigan street - a block from Lygon Street and a block from Swanston Street trams. That's a 5 minute walk to Melb Uni and a 10 minute walk to RMIT. Cool things close by are the Carlton Gardens, the museum, Cinema Nova, lovely restaurants, cafes and Coles.
I find that it's removed from the hustle and bustle of the city but still very central and convenient.
It will also come fully furnished. This includes:
- a single bed
- flat screen TV
- great desk and office chair
- two dining chairs and a small table
- fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, rice cooker, pots/pans, cutlery, bowls/plates and cups
- built in wardrobe with a heap of storage space
- reverse cycle air conditioner
All good quality and quite new.
Rent was originally $310 but has been reduced to $270 per week, which includes water and gas just not electricity. You will be put on the lease, which ends in mid-January 2015 (you'll also have the opportunity to extend for a year). There is no Wifi in the building but I use an internet stick which is quite affordable. The move in date is negotiable.
